Film Federation Of India is planning to celebrate the 100 Years of Indian Cinema. The event will go for three days in July on 12th, 13th and 14th. Indian President Pranab Mukherjee is attending as chief guest for the programme and many other celebrities belonging to the film industry are attending.
For this programme, South India Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) has decided to construct a new building consisting of three new 3D theatres with a capacity of 80 to 250 seats. Kollywood brothers Suriya and Karthi came forward to donate Rs. One Crore to development of one of the theatres. As a token of gesture for the donation, a screening hall will be named after Sivakumar and Thirumathi Lakshmi who happens to be the dad and mom of the actors.
